Examples of 2022 Silent Auction Items
Fawn Lake is home to many accomplished and talented artists and artisans. They consistently surprise us with their talent and generosity by donating pieces of art to the Silent Auction to raise money for our veteran-focused charities.
This handcrafted box, created by Mike DiSimone, is a 15th Century Italian art form using wood grain and color to create two-dimensional wood pictures that appear 3D. Mike, a Fawn Lake resident, is an avid woodworker who creates furniture, gift boxes, and intarsia.
This canvas-printed photograph, taken by Jeanne Jackson (03/2018), is called “Spring Snow”. The old barn, located north of RTE 3 was taken during a late-season snowstorm. The photo won second place in the Fredericksburg Photography Club sponsored show in the “Life in Virginia” category.
This watercolor, created by Terry Anstrom, is her latest artwork “Let It Snow” featuring cardinals painted on top of a transparent watercolor background. Her paintings are on display at the Workhouse Art Center in Lorton, Virginia.
